Josef Mäser GmbH marked its 130th anniversary by launching a new Internet presence, designed with the help of crossbase mediasolution GmbH. The company wanted firstly to create a contemporary, high-tech online presence and secondly to communicate with its customers in their own language and in a way appropriate to each country.

Content management system with option of complete PIM and crossmedia solution

The technical implementation was based on the new content management system (CMS) from crossbase, which can be integrated in the PIM, MAM and cross-media solution or used as a stand-alone solution. The system includes complete user and rights management; image, text and page management with WYSIWYG editor for the web browser; and a range of integrated and optional modules (contact forms, news and newsletter modules, statistics etc.) that can be added as required.

Compliant, fully accessible layout templates add value

The templates for the Mäser website were created with an XHTML-compliant framework that is suitable for designing creative layouts with modern CSS technology, for any browser. This improves the indexing of the site by search engines, which can result in a much higher ranking in hit lists. The content can also be displayed on any end device, including text and screen readers, ensuring accessibility for all target groups.
