Best practice: Ceratizit GmbH optimizes translation in international marketing with crossbase solution

By using the crossbase solution we have achieved more than just enhancing the quality of our product master data. Thanks to the automatic media production and web-based translation workflow, we can now produce standardized, country-specific marketing documents in an efficient process. This gives us an edge over the international competition and delivers tangible added value for our customers.

Reutte, 20/10/2008: A report in the October edition of "Produkt Global" magazine explains how Ceratizit GmbH manages the translation of international sales and marketing documents in line with corporate design guidelines. The marketing material includes several catalogs and price lists amounting to over 1000 pages, all of which have to be turned into country-specific versions. The translation process is handled with the crossbase translation tool.

The documents are generated automatically and approved in the master language. The documents are then turned into translation jobs which are assigned to the translator, who translates the text in the browser in the actual page context. At any point during the translation, the translator can generate a print preview in PDF to check the tracking and pagination of the translated text and make any necessary changes.
