Julius Blum GmbH wins first prize for main catalog

Lindau, 04/05/2009: The Blum Beschläge catalog was ranked first out of nearly 100 entries in the print category at the INKA Forum on 25 March 2009. In German, INKA stands for "Industry. Catalog. Communicate". Almost 100 catalogs were entered into the annual competition, which recognises outstanding technical catalogs in business and industry in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Entries are judged on the basis of overall impression, structure and content. The jury also considers user-friendliness, continuity and layout of information, quality of content (photos, graphics, text and tables), print quality and binding.

In addition to the outstanding haptics, the jury was impressed by the excellent structuring of the product groups and the ease of navigation. Jury member Jean Claude Parent comments: "With this catalog you really sense the years of experience with items of this kind and an innate understanding of customers and their needs."

The award serves as confirmation of Blum's chosen approach to product presentation in its catalogs. The comprehensive reference for furniture manufacturers is available in 19 languages.

crossbase would like to congratulate Julius Blum GmbH on winning the print category. The Julius Blum GmbH catalog has been produced with the crossbase PIM system since 2002. "This result proves that it's possible to create an attractive and well-structured catalog using a systematic and highly automated process," says Mario Berkmann from the Product Marketing Services team at Blum.
