Relaunch of the Internet presence for LEUCO Ledermann GmbH & Co. KG based on crossbase.net

Horb am Neckar, 2013-06-21: LEUCO is organised under the umbrella of LEUCO AG headquartered in Horb, an internationally oriented group of companies in the precision tools industry in the area of wood processing. LEUCO is the premium brand for direct sales. With numerous subsidiaries and sales partners, LEUCO is a global market leader. The product range includes circular saw blades, chippers, milling cutters, drills, reversible plates, diamond tools and clamping systems, which are used in the areas of solid wood, wooden composites and composite materials.

Central functions of the solution

Modern appearance with responsive layout

One of the central requirements of the relaunch was the development of a new appearance that would enable optimum display of the contents on desktop computers as well as mobile end devices. To this end, a flexible basic layout was developed along with the graphics agency halbautomaten from Stuttgart. Then crossbase transferred the drafts into the crossbase.net CMS and optimised them for various devices and screen resolutions. Column grids and texts, images and tables are each optimally displayed on many different devices. Furthermore, content can be printed directly in the browser via a CSS print layout or downloaded via the integrated PDF function.

Dynamic elements for navigation, design and layout

Leuco has a large number of layout elements available for designing, such as flexible layout grids, sliders, tabs, accordions and image and video galleries. These are inserted and maintained via the integrated WYSWIG editor at the click of a mouse. For navigation within the website, a global navigation menu is used in the header area, which displays two levels of the page structure. A local navigation bar located on the left is used for further subdivisions. On mobile devices, these bars are automatically converted into user-friendly dropdown menus in portrait format.

Dynamic address data output and expandability

Another highlight is the dynamic output in the contact area of addresses for sales branches and branches in other countries. All of the contacts are displayed on a zoomable world map using corresponding coordinates. The contact data is displayed at the click of a mouse. Alternatively, contacts can be quickly found using a full-text search. A QR code is saved for each address and enables the data to be transferred quickly and conveniently to mobile end devices.
