crossbase provides product data for new SERTO online shop

SERTO has a comprehensive product range - the amount of product information and media elements is correspondingly large. crossbase enables us to maintain these at a central location and to keep them up-to-date in our online shop.

Böblingen, 2019-06-21: SERTO couplings have been successfully used worldwide in a wide variety of industries and applications since 1952. The convincing advantages of the unique radial system in assembly and disassembly are still impressive. From simple pipe connections to complex system solutions - SERTO develops using the latest technology in its own laboratories and workshops. In the course of time a complete range of pipe elements, valves, pipes, hoses and accessories has been developed - for everything that has to be transported, distributed and regulated.

The company has recently launched a new website as well as a new online shop, which was implemented with OXID. The goal was a solution connected or integrated with SAP. The product data, texts and media (PDFs, images, photos, drawings) are maintained in crossbase and transferred to the online shop. A MyXML interface was implemented for this purpose.

The following information is transferred from the crossbase database

• Navigation structure
• Product features
• Filter attributes
• Items and their Structuring (ItemGroups)
• Image data and documents (PDFs, images, drawings)
• Transfer of physical media files via crossbase.datasync. For this purpose, currently valid files are determined and transferred to the target server

All data is provided in German, English, French and Italian.
