Building materials and componentsA PIM, MAM and cross-media solution was implemented for Hüppe based on the crossbase standard software. This replaced the existing PIM system and the MAM system and the data was migrated accordingly.
The articles are now continuously imported into crossbase via a standard interface to the ERP system. Here, the newly imported articles are automatically classified in the product structure. Technical characteristics and product relationships are transferred or additionally maintained. The inheritance concept is used for this. The crossbase data model has proven to be very flexible for mapping article variants. Defined content is maintained for the base article, such as product photos and texts as well as spare parts lists including versioning. This results in a large number of article variants and correlations that can be found and displayed immediately.
The integrated MAM enables the management of product photos, graphics and certificates. The graphics converter can be used to automatically generate defined image formats and language variants. These are used for targeted digital use and for integration in print.
In addition, BMEcat catalogs with the ETIM standard classification are generated automatically. The feature mapping of crossbase is used to link the attributes of the standard classification with the attributes of Hüppe.
The country-specific catalogs/price lists, which consist of product pages with a modular structure and editorial pages with a free layout, are database-supported and automatically produced in various languages using the crossbase print engine.
