Schöck and crossbase:
Made to last
"crossbase has created an end-to-end process in conjunction with SAP. The SAP attributes are transferred fully automatically and supplemented with additional attributes in PIM. This attribute maintenance takes place directly in the departments where the relevant knowledge is available."

Project managers PIM project, Schöck Bauteile GmbH
Schöck Bauteile GmbH is a company of the globally active Schöck Group with various companies. The head office is in Baden-Baden. The focus is on the development of ready-to-install components, such as the Schöck Isokorb®, which are part of the structural design and have a high building physics benefit, such as the avoidance of thermal bridges or impact sound in buildings.

A customized PIM and cross-media solution was implemented for Schöck based on the crossbase standard software. The installation took place in Baden-Baden - access for employees from different locations or for the graphic designers with Apple systems is via Citrix. The starting point is the data interface to the SAP system. All sales items with product features and prices are imported into the PIM system via this connection. The products are then enriched with additional measurement attributes.
Several thousand design attributes were systematically defined and parameterized, including standard, country and concrete goods. A matrix dialog was individually programmed for the maintenance of over half a million design values to enable efficient and condensed maintenance. Images, formulas, documents and texts with country-specific indicators are maintained in an editorial structure to map market and media-specific product views. This includes the country-specific technical information (29 countries and 40 languages) for the target groups "structural engineers" and "architects" as well as the price lists. These publications are produced automatically via crossbase and Adobe InDesign, whereby the country variants are controlled via the catalog range and the country-specific evaluation of the media and text elements.
The highlight is the automation of the sophisticated pages: The included dimensioning tables are compressed and displayed in three dimensions (concrete cover, strength and height). The elements on the page are placed using displacement rules.
