Text generation

Automatic Updates to Texts and Translations

Text generation can be used to automatically update structured texts, product features and their translations. Text templates are created for this purpose, which are used to automatically combine defined text components, e.g. text modules and product features. Extensive text, logic, calculation and formatting functions are available. Text generation ensures that texts are up-to-date for all output channels, reduces the translation workload and ensures that communication is consistent.

Control of text generation

Texts can be generated manually or time-controlled, e.g. en masse after importing item master data from the ERP system. Only texts with changed text components and their translations are regenerated to keep machine time to a minimum. The consistency check shows whether all required components have been maintained or translated.

Logic functions

Various text, logic, calculation and formatting functions can be applied, similar to Excel: For determining min or max values, for replacing characters, for sorting according to certain criteria or for text abbreviation according to defined prioritizations (e.g. galvanized, galv., glv.). Conditions can be applied, for example that other formulas are applied depending on certain values, that advantage texts for print should only contain a certain number of advantage points or that the content for texts is determined target group-specific, e.g. for B2B or end consumer.
