Online Translation

Translation, correction and release without media discontinuity

With online translation, translators and correctors at all locations can access translation or correction jobs. The web interface can be used to translate directly, also with the support of AI services such as DeepL, Microsoft Translator, etc. Alternatively, a correction and approval process can be carried out with the agency or AI service. The translation manager takes control of the jobs. They can assign jobs accordingly and view the progress.

Function Overview

Translation management

The translation manager creates a translation job for a publication, for example. The translators are then informed that a new job is ready.

Integrated DeepL function

The fully integrated DeepL function can be used for machine pre-translation. Over 30 languages are currently supported, including German, English, French, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese.

Translation

Missing translations can be added step by step via the web interface or pre-translated by machine using DeepL. The translations are then saved in the crossbase database and the progress is displayed graphically. Proofreaders can maintain the translation status and adjust the translations if necessary. The checked translations are then released.

Web client

The web client accompanies the user throughout the translation process. All translation and correction jobs are displayed in tabular form in the job selection with a progress indicator. Translators and proofreaders can access the jobs according to their authorizations. All texts with missing or out-of-date translations are displayed in an overview. The texts can be edited directly from the overview table using a WYSIWYG editor. The layout context can be provided for texts from publications created with crossbase. This shows how the text is displayed in the layout. Foreign-language layouts can be checked in a preview.
