crossbase for kids: the PIM system made easy

Hello, my name is Thomas Kern. I often get asked by students what we actually do. For example, if a parent or acquaintance works for us, if they would like to do an internship or BOGY with us or if they have simply come across us by chance.

Our name "crossbase" is derived from English, as crossbase was intended to be an international company from the outset. Based on our product, we merged the two English words "cross" and "base" for our name. The first word stands for "linking" and the second for "data base".

The most important media for our customers are online stores, sales portals, catalogs and brochures. Our database system simplifies the management and maintenance of the product information required there. In particular, companies that have many different products on offer save a lot of time when maintaining and organizing product information and creating these media.

At the heart of our software is a large database. As the name suggests, a database is a place where a lot of data is stored. For our customers, this database usually contains order numbers, images, description texts and other information about products, which can then be easily read and transferred to online stores, catalogs, etc.

Without such a central database, each website and catalog would have to be revised individually and by hand - a much greater effort. We therefore help companies to work faster, earn more and thus employ more people. In this way, we play our own small part in ensuring that people enjoy their work and are happier in the process.

Our customers have four main professional groups working with our programs:

They all work to explain the product better and better and to present it more beautifully - so that it is sold as often as possible worldwide.

We support the employees of other companies in their daily work: on the one hand with our database system, and on the other hand with support by telephone or directly on site. Because only if our software is used correctly can it fully simplify work processes and enable work to be completed as quickly as possible.

If you do a BOGY or an internship with us, you will learn, for example, how a picture is transferred from a digital camera to the database so that it can then be displayed in an online store. Or how it gets onto a paper catalog page. It's not as complicated as it sounds - our employees are experts in this field and are happy to pass on their knowledge to anyone who is interested.
