What makes a successful PIM implementation - and what makes for a good long-term partnership? Jennifer Wolfram and Sven Sievers from asecos share personal insights into their experiences with crossbase and explain why a software solution has evolved into a true partnership.

Jennifer Wolfram (Teamleitung PIM und Print): asecos is a manufacturer of safety cabinets for hazardous substances. These cabinets are certified according to an EN standard, that guarantee a fire resistance of 90 minutes. nd hazardous substances are safely stored in the cabinets. Our customers are generally laboratory designers, industrial companies, craftsmen, in short, a widerange of industrial players.
Sven Sievers (Bereichsleiter Produktmanagement und -entwicklung): Within our company, we wanted to be able to provide the data our customers need automatically or easily. We also wanted to be able to feed our own catalogs in a relatively automated or semi-automated way.
Jennifer Wolfram: We held a selection process with different companies and crossbase finally made the best impression on us among all the suppliers we received in-house. So both in the preparation and in the design phase. We just liked it from the beginning. We can really say that. It was partly a decision made on instinct.
Sven Sievers: What tipped the scales was that crossbase offered the possibility, which really convinced me at the time, to process the data directly in the system right from the presentation and automatically change it correctly. It was therefore not a presentation model, but a functional system. That's what I discovered, and it was really nice.
Jennifer Wolfram: As soon as a company wants to diversify, address a wide range of customers and communicate a very good quality of its products through data, a PIM is, in my opinion, essential.
Sven Sievers: The levels of language that we have are a very, very important topic for me. The different countries in which we now sell our products, and the translation process alone, I couldn't imagine without the product database. The service and collaboration in projects is always excellent at crossbase. We can't complain. There are still many long-standing employees in the company today, whom we know very well and whom I have known even since the start-up phase. My colleagues also always find a listening ear, always have a specialist on the phone and receive fast and really competent help.
Jennifer Wolfram: It's already a bit like a family. We've had a partnership for eleven years now, I'd say. It is less a client-provider relationship than a partnership between equals. It's always a great experience, no matter what topics you're interested in. At crossbase, they are always there to listen to us and are a reliable partner by our side. The service, I really have to say, is a very big asset at crossbase.
Sven Sievers: My colleagues would say that with the system they have, crossbase.pro, they can still do a lot of things themselves. To be able to work on the product structure, reference product data without the need for crossbase help to implement individual programming. With crossbase, you are therefore very autonomous and at the cutting edge of technology.
I would definitely recommend crossbase, as it's a good software backed by a good team. Given my long experience, I would definitely recommend it, I really don't see what could be negative about this software.
