Students of the ADV-Böblingen as guests at crossbase

Böblingen, 20.04.2018: Last Friday, the basic 3BKInf course at the Academy for Data Processing (ADV) visited crossbase's Böblingen-based software centre. crossbase is a partner firm of many years' standing. Here, they were given an exciting insight into the activities performed at the company. The company's proprietary software solution was presented by former ADV students, who were also able to report in great detail on their various fields of activity.

The young students, who brought along some previous classroom knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and web programming, were able to see in clearly presented examples how elaborate company catalogs and web interfaces are created at crossbase. Towards the end of their visit, they also had the opportunity to try out the "crossbase flight simulator".

The insight into the activities of the partner firms is also especially interesting for the current basic course because they must choose a company for their own internship in a month's time. The one-year internship will then begin in August 2018. At crossbase, it is possible to take an internship in the field of software development or consulting/support.

crossbase and ADV maintain a close partnership. In addition to a training method that has been developed over several years, crossbase offers ADV students the chance of a working student contract or permanent employment at the end of their internship. Since 2001, crossbase has successfully trained more than 30 younger ADV students, and is proud of the outcome: 20 of them have permanent contracts, three of them as team leaders. Internships last twelve months, with a 40-hour week and 30 days holiday. crossbase is constantly on the lookout for interns and graduates in the areas of software development and application consulting, and is always pleased to receive applications for these positions.
