crossbase.api: Easily query PIM data via API server and REST services

crossbase.api gives software developers of third-party applications the option of accessing all data in the PIM system via API functions.

The crossbase API server (application programming interface) provides a flexible option for accessing data in the PIM. The interface can be used by experienced software developers to write programs with relatively little time and effort that call up data from the PIM database.

Key functions

crossbase REST services

The tried-and-tested crossbase services, based on the API server, are another option. These can be integrated into third-party applications by creating proxy classes once in the development environment (e.g. NET) using the XML description file. During runtime, web service is invoked and the required data is supplied by the server. REST is used for retrieval. The result can be transferred as XML or JSON.

How it works

Simulation of the REST services with crossbase.api

To test queries for particular objects and simulate the result, an object ID can be entered with the desktop application crossbase.api and the query can then be started. The result appears on the user interface and this helps the developer to understand the web service and the data structures.

Advanced functions

Individual REST services

The REST services can be expanded in response to specific customer needs to enable individual evaluations.
