crossbase.web: The product information maintenance module with web-based access

crossbase.web provides web-based access for data maintenance. Product managers and marketing specialists in the head office and in the subsidiaries can manage, translate and make country-specific adjustments to workflow-based features, relationships, images, texts and catalog ranges.

Key functions

Easy to use and productive user interface

crossbase.web provides a function-rich, productive user interface of the kind previously only available for desktop applications. For example, the functions available for one or more selected data records can also be selected directly via a context menu. Columns can be displayed, hidden or rearranged to optimise the way in which the required information is displayed. Entries can be filtered and grouped, just like in Excel. A lot of effort has been put into improving performance.

Modern appearance and customisable user interface

The user can switch between a completely bright or dark user interface theme (as used in Adobe applications), to suit their personal preference. In addition, any settings made, such as the configuration of the columns in a table can be saved for every work area on a user-specific basis.

Product selection

Multiple products can be selected in a table title via the tree structures, for example, in the product structure or based on the workflow via the dynamically prepared task list.

Drop-down filters with single and multiple selection, full text filters and operating functions for sorting and grouping are available for targeted selection.

Tabular maintenance

The relevant product information for the products selected several times are presented in single tabs; these include classes, features, text elements, document modules, relationships, views and catalog ranges.

The basic principle is the same: The defined fields are presented in tabular form in lines, while the products to be edited are in columns. Each field is assigned a workflow status to provide the user with a visual indication of where editing is necessary. The product structure can be managed along the inheritance hierarchy at the click of a button, e.g. from the products through to the product groups. Inherited features are identified visually.

The tabular comparison is very helpful. The same field content is compiled for all products, so that the editor can edit the content selectively and can copy this to the other columns just like in Excel.

Selection of product information

Existing product information, e.g. images and texts, can be selected and referenced conveniently via dialogs. The dialog is started in the context of the field to be edited and the relevant product information is already limited.
